49 CFR Part 40.25 Drug & Alcohol Background Checks:
DACCS has contacts throughout the United States with many DOT covered employers to enable this background check to be completed within the allotted time period.  We customize the consents and forms to be completed by former employers to be handled at our office and provide you with a complete summary of the results found that meets an auditor's demands to meet this requirement.

This requirement can be time consuming to the Human Resources Representative or Designated Employer Representative who may be trying to get it completed.  When we asked the DOT to define "good faith effort" the answer was "at least three attempts, one of which should be in writing, within 30 days".  Outsourcing this service to DACCS will not only meet the requirement but serve as documentation that will easily satisfy an auditor looking at this section of the regulations.
